Why now
India's carbon market is opening to industry and agriculture.
- A national market. India's Carbon Credit Trading Scheme is building one market for industry, with an offset route for voluntary projects.
- Farmers can take part. Farmer groups can now pool small farms to earn carbon credits under approved methods.
- The data is already flowing. MIE collects live machine data at client plants today, which is where carbon tracking starts.
- Credits you can defend. Every credit is shown as estimated until an accredited verifier checks it and a registry issues it.

Not yet. It is in development and builds on the plant data MIE already collects. Early clients will get it first.
Does MIE issue carbon credits?
No. Credits are issued by a registry after an accredited verifier checks the project. MIE measures, estimates and prepares the evidence.
Which emissions does MIE cover first?
Energy use and fuel on each machine (Scope 1 and 2), then reductions against your baseline.
